BAXTER COUNTY, Ar. -- Emergency crews responded to a residence on Orchid Drive just west of Mountain Home, Arkansas Thursday morning. Upon arrival, Baxter County Sheriff's Deputies and Investigators found Gary Galloway, 72, deceased lying in bed. Galloway lived at the home with his car taker.

This year we are seeing a bumper crop of black flies, more commonly called buffalo gnats, in this area. Grant Beckwith, CEA-Ag and Staff Chair, indicated that the black fly outbreak in Arkansas County is about the worst he has seen and attributes their abundance to the floods from last month.
